To self-publish electronically or not to self-publish electronically.

That is the question.  And it’s a very complicated one (that I will not go into here).

At least I’m proactively thinking about my fiction writing again in 2013.  (There was a period of time in 2012 when I was hardly writing at all, for reasons various and sundry.)  Though, admittedly, thinking about my writing isn’t always the “healthiest” thing for me, I’ve learned over the years.  Enjoying reading, music, “technology,” family and friends is so much easier than thinking about (or engaging in) the act of writing, which is an act not only of creation but also one of destruction.  If you are a writer, and especially if you do any form of creative writing, you probably know exactly what I mean.  And if you’re not, you probably don’t understand what the hell I’m babbling/whining about (fortunately for you, I might add).

I’m hoping to write something substantial this year, and to publish, either through a “regular” publisher or one that helps writers get their writing out to the masses electronically (I’m talking about e-books, of course: Kindles, iPads, etc.).  We’ll see.  I believe ’13 will be an interesting year, at any rate.  (Heck, if David Bowie can make a comeback after 10 years of reclusiveness, there must be “something in the air”!).

And on that note, it’s back to doing stuff I need to get done tonight…
